The annual Fernandez pumpkin carving was a success. I wasn't sure it would happen this year...i'm always so tired after work lately...i almost forgot to get pumpkins...then to have to carve them and clean up the mess...but we managed. The kids had fun and helped a little more this year. I always end up doing the majority of the carving. Jacob did his all by himself and was pleased with the result. Too bad they start rotting so soon after being carved. I miss being in Pinetop where they last forever on the porch without melting into the concrete!

halloween fun

Aren't my 5th graders amazing little artists? We had a fun afternoon creating these 'halloween' pictures. Thank goodness for arts and crafts!

fall break

While in Pinetop for fall break we enjoyed the beautiful weather and...

helped grandma build a cabinet,

played dress-up (which we always do)

went out on the 4 wheelers

grandma had kid helmets this time, they had a blast

we fed the ducks at woodland lake

had grandma play photographer and took tons of family pictures

helped grandpa rake and bag tons and tons of pine needles

all 9 bags that we loaded up that morning

and had a fun afternoon playing with cousins (Gaby and Carson came up for a little visit)

we had a fantastic 4 days in Pinetop!!

Isabel turned 7 the week we were in Pinetop for fall break. Lucky girl got to celebrate with her grandparents and Aunt Jenny as well as us. She had a hard time waiting all day to open her presents. She had a great day!
