For Spring Break this year we went on a road trip. We first headed to the Four Corners National Monument. It's about a 6ish hour drive from Mesa. It was cold and windy when we arrived. We stayed just long enough to take a few pics, buy a souvenir and take a bathroom break. It started raining on us as we left. We left four corners and headed to Albuquerque, New Mexico. We found a hotel for the night, ate a good supper and went to bed. The next morning we headed over to Sandia Peak and rode the tram to the top of the mountain. Super fun. But super cold when we reached the top. We weren't prepared for 17 degree weather, snow and wind. One of us didn't even have a jacket. We were in sandals. So we stayed long enough to get some pics and headed back down. After that we drove by the Albuquerque New Mexico LDS Temple. Took a few pics and headed out of town. We then drove the The Very Large Array in the middle of nowhere New Mexico. It was cool taking a tour of the place and seeing how truly large the satellites (or whatever they are called) are. Just immense. After we were finished there, we headed back into Arizona and stopped at my mom and dad's place in Pinetop. Spent a little time with them and drove back to Mesa. I love a good road trip and this certainly qualified as one. Lots of driving and adventuring. Love my family and that they will tolerate my urges to hit the road.
