Tree trimming April 6, 2019

My dad is an expert chainsawer, tree cutter downer, and scrap wood collector.  He offered to come down to the valley to help me and my poor citrus trees.  A few years with no water had caused quite a lot of dead.  We spent the day trimming, cleaning up and packing all the wood on his trailer to take back to Pinetop for his wood stove.

April 4, 2019 Din Din with the Gpas.

Grandma and Grandpa surprised us with an afternoon visit and dinner.  They were in the valley for a doctor appt for mom.  On their way back up the mountain they took us out to eat.  MMMMmmmm.  Love spending time with them.

Garth Brooks!!!!! March 23, 2019

Kaitlin got tickets to Garth Brooks and her hubby didn't want to go, so I got invited!!!  Best concert ever.  It was at the Cardinals Stadium in Glendale.  So much fun seeing Garth and even more fun spending time with my sis.  Love her.

Sofia gets asked to Prom March 13, 2019

Sofia got asked to Prom by Luke Larson.  He asked her with chicken nuggets.  The letters of his name were spelled on random nuggets and she had to figure it out.  Clever considering nuggets are one of her favorite things.

Spring Break March 2019

Jacob, Isabel and I spent a few days in Pinetop for Spring Break this year.  Sofia spent the week in the valley at a lifeguard training class, so she didn't come.  We spent a day at Sunrise, skiing.  It snowed while we were up there. So pretty.  We hiked around Woodland Lake and Jacob and I hiked down to the creek right after the fresh snowfall.  Winter wonderland for sure.

Isabel and Jacob right before we started skiing.  It snowed the whole time and was quite cold.  But we all had a blast.

Denim Quilt Jan 30, 2019

I've been saving old jeans for about 18 years.  They've been in a box in the back of my closet.  I finally pulled it out and started working on it last year.  I cut out and pieced the front.  It sat for about a year until I bought flannel backing and batting.  I finished  it up on Jan 30.  It is the comfiest and coziest blanket ever.  Jacob keeps fighting me for it.

January 11, 2019 Dad's heart surgery

My dad had a double bypass surgery on the 10th of January.  He had been having chest pains when exercising and when he went to have it checked out, they admitted him for more testing and the next morning air-evaced him to Scottsdale for surgery.  He has recovered well and we are all grateful he caught it in time before he had a massive heart attack.
