9-14-12  Sofia's dream came true!  She was able to get her ears pierced this year for her 11th birthday!  She was so excited, and only a little bit nervous.  The lady who did the piercing was very nice and calming.  Sofia picked out some sapphire butterfly earrings.  What an exciting day!

Took the kids on Monday of Labor Day weekend up to Tonto Natural Bridge.  Super fun hike, rock climbing, waterfall dripping, and cooler weather.  We all loved it.

Kaitlin and I took Gaby out for a pedicure and dinner for her birthday this year.  We had a great time.  We all got pedicures at the classiest nail salon in phx, then went to eat at the Cheesecake Factory...yum!  Love spending time with my sisters.

A scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent.  So powerful to see these boys stand and recite these words.    Jacob received his 1st class and 2nd class rank and is now working on star...i think.  Still figuring out this thing called 'Boy Scouts'.  He has the best troop and leaders known to man, and has the best time.  They all have a nickname and his is Fergie...go figure.

pioneer days--miller ward style

Miller ward is the best ward!  For pioneer day we celebrated by having a pioneer trek to the 'promised land' which was attacked by some marauding native people (and water balloons), we had a delicious pancake and sausage breakfast, there were cricket races (which my kids won 1st and 2nd place in), cow pie throwing contests, stick pulling, and to finish it off, a swim in the 'Great Salt Lake'.  Love my ward!
